Geocache Description:

Come out and join us to celebrate the launching of a Travel Bug in space and also earn a souvenir for your cache page. 

Time: 6:00 pm til

Date: Nov. 6, 2013.

This will be a "meet and greet" for all geocachers. Come join us to swap stories and meet new friends. There will also be door prizes and a few games. Check this page out often because we will be adding more information as the time gets closer.

There will be food available but everyone is responsible for their own meal.

A travel bug has been activated by a 5th grade class of the Chase Elementary School in Waterbury,CT. Astronaut Rick Mastracchio visited Chase Elementary School and is going to deliver the TB to the International Space Station for them. Mastracchio will be using the Travel Bug as an educational tool to help teach students around the world about geography and provide other educational lessons. The mission is currently scheduled to launch from Kazakhstan at 4:08 GMT on November 7, That means the launch is planned to liftoff at 5:08 a.m. November 6 which is 11:08 p.m. local time.
