Parking can be found at the waypoint below, and further along Storrs Lane as shown on the map with the suggested route. The quarry earthcache can be done on the same route around the quarry, and will show you more about the rocks.
This first cache can be found deep in The Trough, the geological feature which gives the hill it's name. This is not a man-made channel but a product of erosion of different rocks. With the tree cover and steep walls, it's quite an atmospheric and dramatic way into the quarry. Just past the cache is the memorial gate, and further on, as the path curves east is an informative sign.
The trees may make the GPS signal a bit iffy but the clue should help! Look for a group of 4 ash trees growing in the base of the Trough. Please rehide with subtlety but also out of sight and secure.
