Every town seems to have a spot for the weary traveler to pull in and grab a bite to eat and a bed for the night. Labrador City is no exception as within a couple of meters there are two hotels and a couple of fast food outlets. Also not far is a gas bar and as well there are two garage/car dealerships<P>
Labrador City has a population of 9,228 people with more males than females who live in 3,750 dwellings. Most people fall in the late 30's age group and there ate 2,530 over 50 and of them 410 are over 65. The town has an area of just over 24 square km. Roads out lead both East to coastal Labrador and West to the St Lawrence via PQ and the rest of Canada
