I noticed that there really isn't any letterbox caches in the downtown Las Vegas area. I thought that was unfortunately, so I placed one to hopefully show that they can be done in the city
The cache is hidden in an out of the way place on the UNLV campus. There isn't much traffic on this side of the college, unless there was soccer practice or a game going on. There is a parking lot very near this cache, but park at your own risk during the week. It is for faculty and students only. The weekends are safer to park in the faculty parking spots. I have done it many times all day with no tickets...don't expect me to pay your ticket if you get one though. 
There is a parking area not more than a quarter of a mile away from the cache. It is called "S" parking, and although it is crowded, I have always been able to find one parking spot.
This cache is on a hillside. There is a very nice walking path that straddles the crest of the hill, and comes very close to the cache location. The cache container should be reachable for most people, but because of trimming, the cache has slowly risen over the years. I'm making it a 1.5/1.5 because you'll have to climb that hill. If anyone finds that the cache needs maintenance, let me know
