If you think this is in the guardrail then think again. We vowed to never place a guardrail cache and we weren't about to start with this one. It's a Hide-a-Key which will probably get difficult to open within days. Just let us know and we'll replace it.
About 50-100 feet west of the cache is apparently the accepted spot for discarding bicycles in Vista. Depending on the season, you can usually find some bicycles or parts of bicycles that have been heaved from the bridge to the nastiness below. Sometimes they get hung up in the vegetation, lending a festive patina to the colorful tableau. Just another good reason to take a walk in this area.
