At 4.08 am on November 7th, 2013 GMT, Rick will be launched into space from Kazakhstan. He will be using the Travel Bug as an educational tool to help teach students around the world about geography and provide other educational lessons.
KZN Geocachers can help celebrate the event and earn themselves a 'Geocaching in Space' souvenir, courtesy of Groundspeak. Everyone who attends an event on the 6th or 7th November will be awarded the souvenir.
The event will be at the above co-ordinates (Waxy's) from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and in the usual KZN style drinks and eats will be for your own account.
Bring your TB's for discovery and some geochat, dress as Anything Spacey.
