This apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I placed it during a hike on the Limekiln Trail in Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve. Yes, a micro in the woods, but the two nearest caches are big ones for your swag and travelbug swapping pleasure, and this one adds one more "point" to those who venture to this remote area. I got here starting from the Limekiln trailhead by Lexingon Reservoir, but the Kennedy trailhead is another option.
It's on the uphill side of the trail.
Sierra Azul OSP closes a half hour after sunset.
