EN: You don’t read the words, “We’re going to space!” very often. So, how about we soak up the joy of reading those words once more? Let’s add a little pizzazz and shout it by using all capital letters: “WE’RE GOING TO SPACE!” Yeah! A Geocaching Travel Bug® is hitching a ride with astronaut Rick Mastracchio straight to the International Space Station. Of course Rick will live aboard the ISS for 6 months. He plans to use the Travel Bug as a tool to teach students on Earth, in his home state of Connecticut, about geography and science. He'll also earn the Solar System's most elusive smiley and find the International Space Station geocache.
For more information on the whole expedition, go to the following link.
Astronaut Rick Mastracchio will travel on November 7, 2013 at precily 5.08 AM from Kazachstan into Space with a special Trackable in his 'pocket'. In the International Space Station a GeoCache is available and Rick will log as FTF within three years after the placement of that elusive cache. As expected the trackable will be left there for another cacher to be found :-)
Because of this special occasion, a souvenir can be earned if a Space Event is visited on either 6 or 7 November 2013. As I will not be at home during that time, I will host my first event in Portugal (Lisbon).
So I hope to see you on November 7 between 18:00 - 18.30 to write your name in the log. Logging after 18.30h is not possible anymore. Looking forward to your "Will Attend" to celibrate this historical GeoCache moment with me in Lisbon! Looking forward to meeting you all, and can of course bring your own trackables for others to discover!
PRT: No dia indicado, por volta de 18:00-18:30. Conto com a vossa presença! Façam já o vosso Will Attend!
