I've always been a Carolina Panthers fan, whether it's the struggles of this 2013 season or the team of 2003 that went to the Super Bowl! If you travel up I-85 North to Charlotte, NC, you can see the likes of big name stars like DeAngelo Williams or lesser known players such as Jordan Senn. When I was younger I was a Kansas City Chiefs fan and looked up to players such as WR Otis Taylor, but local kids might aspire to be a key Panther player like Greg Olsen or a minor player like punter Brad Nortman. Besides the Chiefs I also used to like the Dallas Cowboys with stars like Roger Staubach, Drew Pearson and a forgotten favorite "Golden" Richards. But today it's the Panthers who started out in the NFC West in their first year of existence, where they played their home games during their first season in Death Valley at Clemson University. Some players who were on the 2003 Super Bowl team are now coaches with the team, like Ricky Proehl. Some players came and went too fast, such as Inside Linebacker Dan Morgan. Some you wish could still play today, like fan favorite Muhsin Muhammad! All players matter to some degree, whether it's Tom Brady or the current backup QB Derek Anderson. Anyway, win or lose, I will still be loyal to my Carolina Panthers!
