7-Aerie Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible to be Unarchived.

Geocache Description:

One of 11 cacher friendly "Bird" Caches at Wattles Stewardship Center (NJ Audubon). Put in with permission. The location is about 3 miles east of Washington, NJ. The gravel entrance road is at mailbox 1024 on Anderson-Asbury Road. Caches are snow friendly, most are within 20 feet of a grass trail which is about 3 feet wide, 1.5 to 2.5 in terrain, which makes a 1.7 mile long loop. See GC3Y74C for waypoints. BYOP

The Wattles Stewardship Center is a 51-acre sanctuary. Mr. Gurdon Wattles, who donated the house and barn, as well as Green Acres funding, made the acquisition of this property possible. The Wattles Stewardship Center is flanked by a State wildlife management area to the southeast and preserved farmland to the northwest. A trail from the Audubon parking lot leads visitors to the Musconetcong River and will ultimately connect to Point Mountain Road and Hunterdon County's Point Mountain park. NJA is working to make the Wattles Stewardship Center a model center for blending environmental awareness, wildlife habitat and agriculture.
