Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the way to the top of Rocky Mountain, which is half an hour's drive from Wanaka. Check the information board at the carpark. The cache is on the East route to the top. (First go past Diamond Lake). There are a lot of steps but a good trail. The cache is roughly half way up to Rocky Mountain. You go past a grassy clearing on the left, where a big boulder is lying. If you look up above you can see where the boulder has fallen off the cliff and rolled down, smashing a trail through the bush. The boulder still has two climbing bolts on it from when it was part of the cliff and people used to climb on it up there. One of these has been bent backwards in the boulder's tumble. The cache is somewhere around the boulder but may be hidden by some plants. . There is a small bit of paper in the cache but no pencil or pen, so take one to record your visit. also the coordinates might bee a few metres off.

Happy huntingwink
