DK: Scouting eksisterer i mange former over hele verden , der drives af World Organization of the Scout Movement (scout.org). Patch indsamling og hals tørklæde handel er en meget populær aktivitet blandt spejdere over hele verden . Det er en måde for spejdere at dele deres erfaringer med andre spejdere fra hele verden . Går langs dette tema , har jeg medtaget nogle af mine egne spejder patches i cachen at opmuntre dig til at deltage i denne tradition så godt. Det er ikke et krav om at handle en patch , men hvis du har patches , du gerne vil handel , er du meget velkommen til at gøre det på denne cache .
I august 1924 blev den anden verden spejder jamboree afholdt lige her på Ermelunden . Der var 14 lande , der trådte tropper ind i World spejder Championships, en test af spejder færdigheder såsom personale inspektion, lejr struktur , brand building, folkedans , svømning, træhåndværk , forhindringsbane , vandreture og andre udendørs aktiviteter. Boy Scouts of America vandt mesterskaber , men denne praksis ikke blev videreført i fremtiden for frygt for nationalisme mellem spejder enheder.
Lord Robert Baden Powell ankom kort efter lejren begyndte , og holdt sin velkomsttale i øsende regnvejr , hvilket gav ham øgenavnet ' Bademester ' . Senere på ugen spejderne blev inspiceret af Kong Christian X i nærheden af jagthytte i Dyrehavn , også under et regnskyl . Oversvømmelser tvang evakuering af dele af lejren. Dette var den første jamboree , hvor spejdere blev alle placeret i telte og organiseret af tropper / patruljer , en model , som stadig bruges i dag.
Denne cache er den startposition for World Scouting Travel bug så godt. Det ønsker at rejse til placeringen af alle World Scout jamborees . Ermelunden er allerede blevet besøgt (selvfølgelig) , så der er kun 23 tilbage placeringer !

The World Scouting Travel Bug
EN: Scouting exists in many forms all over the world, run by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (scout.org). The WOSM was founded in 1920, 13 years after Lord Robert Baden Powell founded the original scouting movement in 1907. The Danish scouts, founded in 1909, were one of the original charter members of the WOSM in 1920. The Boy Scouts of America, founded in 1910, joined the WOSM in 1922. All scouting is based on the principles that were set out by Baden-Powell in his original scouting movement. The scout law differs slightly between different units throughout the world, but they all remain true to the original scout promise and law, encouraging and teaching strong moral values to the youth, training them to be the leaders of tomorrow. Currently, the Chief Scout, or the leader of all scouting is Bear Grylls, you may have seen him on his TV show, Man vs. Wild. You can find where your local Danish Scout group meets here: spejder.dk. The only American Boy Scout group in Denmark meets in this Copenhagen region as well. Patch collecting and neck scarf trading is a very popular activity amongst scouts all over the world. It is a way for scouts to share their experiences with other scouts from all over the world. Going along this theme, I have included some of my own scout patches in the cache to encourage you to join in with this tradition as well. It is not a requirement to trade a patch, but if you have patches you would like to trade, you are very welcome to do so at this cache.
In August of 1924, the second world scout jamboree was held right here on Ermelunden. There were 14 countries that entered troops into the World scout Championships, a test of scout skills such as personnel inspection, camp structure, fire building, folk dancing, swimming, woodcraft, obstacle course, hikes, and other outdoor activities. The Boy Scouts of America won the Championships, but this practice was not continued in the future for fears of nationalism between scout units.
Lord Robert Baden Powell arrived shortly after the camp began, and delivered his welcome speech in the pouring rain, earning him the nickname ‘Bademester’. Later in the week the scouts were inspected by King Christian X near the hunting lodge in the Dyrehavn, also during a downpour. Flooding forced the evacuation of parts of the camp. This was the first jamboree in which scouts were all placed in tents and organized by troops/patrols, a model which is still used today.
This cache is the starting location for the World Scouting Travel bug as well. It wants to travel to the location of all the World Scout Jamborees. Ermelunden has already been visited (obviously), so there are only 23 locations left!
