Geostripe Traditional Cache

This is a simple cache and dash at an entrance to St Vincent's hospital. A wheelchair user can reach GZ but may struggle to retrieve the cache.

I was walking in Blackrock in September 2013 on the day "BRPT - 06½ Blackrock Scouts" was published. I was with a muggle mate and we intended to walk from Booterstown station as far as we could along the BRPT. I wasn't geocaching at the start of the walk as I've done the ones between Booterstown and Blackrock DART so we just strolled in the general direction of the trail. Unfortunately we took a wrong turn just after Blackrock DART station and climbed a wall which we thought gave us access to the road. We eventually turned around but had to go over the same wall. I jumped off it first and landed normally however I was aware that something had happened on the way down. I got married to Bohsdee on August 15th that year and hadn't got used to wearing my wedding band yet. As a result I had not paid attention to where my hand was as I jumped and had snagged the ring on the top of a fence which ran along the tracks and was perpendicular to the wall. I'll spare you the details but I can only count to nine now. The ring didn't break which is testament to the manufacture. I left the cache here as I was so impressed with the care I received in St Vincent's despite the fact they couldn't reattach the finger. You're looking for a camouflaged cylindrical container. Don't forget to take everything with you when you leave! Let me know if you find my finger.
