A unos 2,5 Km del Manzano Histórico se encuentra este hermoso lugar para hacer un asado o tomar unos mates. Se llama así por que en 1930 unas familias de San Luis (cuyo gentilicio es "puntanos") habían descubierto este lugar y desde hacía varios años venían a vacacionar. Ese año una crecida repentina del río llevó su Ford T y todos sus vienes salvando milagrosamente sus vidas. (Atención es peligroso en días de lluvia en verano austral).
Para los mas aventureros está la caché de unos quince minutos de subida en una pendiente algo empinada. Muy recomendable llevar una cámara de fotos, el paisaje es estupendo.
En fines de semana hay mucho tránsito por la zona de la caché, por favor dejar bien tapada.
About 2.5 km from "El Manzano Histórico", there is this beautiful place for a barbecue or take a few mates. In 1930 some families of San Luis, Argentina (whose inhabitants are "puntanos") had discovered this place for several years and came to vacation. That year a sudden flood of the river took its Ford T and all come miraculously saving their lives. (Attention is dangerous on rainy days in austral summer).
For the more adventurous there is the cache of some fifteen minute climb a steep slope. Highly recommended to bring a camera, the scenery is great.
On weekends there is a lot of traffic through the area of the cache, please leave well covered.
