Geocache Description:

Sturbridge, being at a crossroads here in the Commonwealth is way overdue for a convienient TB Hotel.  I wanted this cache to be easily accessible to fellow cachers traveling along Rt. 84 or the Mass Pike.  What better place than the Old Robinson Crusoe South trail head on Shattuck Rd.   Via exit 9 on the Mass Pike, your only a 5 min drive to the GZ.  Exit 2 off of RT 84 is even closer with a 30 sec-1 min drive.

CONGRATS to Thompy8, ECC, KDM and TheThompy with the FTF. \m/ >.< \m/ Cache on my friends...

This cache is located just 75 ft down a paved trail that is a trail head for multiple hiking trails along the Old Robinson Crusoe Camp.  You can access the cache via a short 25 ft hike just off the trail.  If your heading up hill, your heading in the right direction.  I couldn't make it THAT easy...  Look for the sheltered ammo container.

The initial contents include 3 bags.  One for the log, one for the TB's, and one for the swag.  There's lots of swag...  I've started out this Hotel with 7 TB's.  I have a few more that I am curently caching with, and will place them soon.

TB Hotel rules...   There are NO rules with this cache.  Only suggestions.  TB's are meant to travel and have fun with.  Who am I to say you can only take one.  I'd love it if you take one/place one, but if you don't it's ok.  Check out their caching objectives and go from there if you want.  Maybe there's one that better fits your style. Maybe there's one you just have to retrieve...  Please, just have fun.  Ok, the suggestions...  Please only take a TB if you plan on actively caching with it or plan on placing it in a few weeks.   No one wants their TB stalled in someone's dresser for months on end..  Secondly, when you log your visit, please make your second step that of logging your retrieval of your new found TB.   No one is happy when a cache lists 10+ bugs only to find an empty cache...  Ok, enough of that.

RT. 84 facts...    Interstate 84 is a highway with two non-contiguous sections.  The eastern section runs from Dunmore, PA to an interchange with the Massachusetts Turnpike in Sturbridge, MA.  The Western section runs from Portland, OR to a junction in Echo, Utah.  The section through PA offers access to popular outdoor recreation areas such as Lake Wallenpaupack and Promised Land State Park.  It enters New York by crossing the Delaware and Neversink Rivers.  One more river, the Hudson, is crossed at Newburgh.  The interstate enters CT at Danbury and becomes known as the Yankee Expressway.  It continues along its route and enters Hartford where it joins 91 and crosses the Conneticut River at the Bulkeley Bridge.  Completed in 1908, it's the oldest bridge in the Interstate System as well as the largest stone arch bridge in the world.   84, now known as the Wilber Cross Expressway enters MA.  It now passes through Holland by 90 yards eastbound, and 200 yards westbound.  The next 3 exits are in Sturbridge...

Interstate 90/Mass Pike facts...  It's the longest interstate highway in the US.  Boston to Seattle!!! Because of that, here are some MA facts...  The highway heads nonstop between West Stockbridge and Logan Internatinal.  It's highest point in MA, in Becket, is the highest point east of South Dakota.  The official logo of the Mass Pike is a Pilgrim hat.  The previous incarnation of the logo had a Native American arrow sticking through it.  It was replaced with a plain hat and the words "Mass Pike" in 1989 primarily due to confusion among motorists who sometimes mistakenly turned in the direction the arrow pointed (right) when attempting to enter the turnpike.  The MTA has leased much of the air space over the highway east of Exit 15.  Some examples of this are the Shaws Supermarket, the Crowne Plaza in Newton, and the Copley Place Mall...
