From the cache location, you can see Riverlawn Elementary School, which opened in the spring of 2009. The school replaced the former Riverlawn Elementary located on Dudley Ferry Road, about a half-mile away. Both River Bug and Little River enjoyed their time at both schools, and have nothing but fond memories of both Riverlawns.
With the construction of the new school, the access to Mills Avenue from Viscoe Road was closed to accommodate the new entrance of Beth Nelson Drive from Viscoe Road. When approaching the cache, you must use Mills Avenue. Do NOT stop on Viscoe Road, but continue on to Brooklyn Road to access Mills Avenue. Parking is readily available at the church parking lot during times the church isn’t being used, or at the dead end turn-around of Mills Avenue. The cache location shouldn’t be a problem with muggles, except possibly on Sunday mornings. Please replace this micro cache securely for the next cacher, and bring your own pen.
