Geocache Description:

The second cache in the Wachet Life Series.

Continue through the kissing gate and hope to see the curious ducks!  We did this walk on a lovely autumn's day but flooding would be a fair prediction on a not so fine day. Accessible with wellies still, we hope.  Once you've passed through the farm, follow the left path that will eventually take you to St Decuman's Church.

--------

Decuman was one of the Celtic saints who came to Somerset from Wales during the seventh century, and arrived with his only companion, a cow!

Legend tells that he was beheaded by the village folk but picked up his head, washed it in the stream, and replaced it. Much to the delight of the village folk, he was then made a Saint and his church was built. Read 'Legends and Folklore of Watchet' by Ben Norman.

UPDATE: The ivy has been cut down since, so the Cache is now safely located at ground level.
