A Travel Bug® named "International Space Station Travel Bug II by the 5th Grade Class of Chase Elementary School-Waterbury, CT" is tagging along with NASA astronaut Rick Mastracchio on his mission to the ISS. Mastracchio will be using the Travel Bug as an educational tool to help teach students around the world about geography and geocaching. Mastraccio will Rocket into Space on November 7, 2013 (GMT - November 6th, AZ time). Every geocacher who attends a Geocaching Event on November 6 or 7, 2013 will be awarded a “Geocaching in Space” souvenir.
Come celebrate the space bug and meet fellow Geocachers at AeroMechAZ's home on Wednesday evening, November 6, 2013. The event log will be available from 5 PM to 9:30 PM. Launch is scheduled at 9:08pm, local AZ time. A group photo will be taken at 7 PM. Feel free to wear or bring space-related costumes or props.
From downtown Prescott, proceed south on Montezuma St. to the QuikStop and turn right onto Leroux St., then just before reaching the bridge at Granite St., turn left onto Granite. If you're coming north on US Hwy 89, (White Spar Rd.), simply turn left onto Granite St. and continue straight until reaching the corner of Leroux St.
Weather-permitting, it'll be outdoors in the center "common area", but if necessary, my apartment's available (it's pretty small for a one-bedroom). Bring lawn/camping chairs, as ours are limited in number. It's also liable to get kinda chilly later in the evening, so dress appropriately, please.
Please park on the street as the parking lot is for tenants only.
I live in the green(ish) building on the 2nd floor (Apt. #202).
