Wheatland Kennels used to be located just west of this cache. This is where we used to take Joey, our Shih Tzu, for grooming and occasional boarding. Mira, our Akita, does not allow anyone outside her family to be involved in her grooming, but did stay at Wheatland Kennels when we went away. She stayed there for as long as six weeks, and was always well cared for and looked after, but believes that there is no place like home.
Joey used to have a prescribed diet, so we took his food out when he stayed at Wheatland Kennels, but we were told that Mira's lodgings would include food as well. We thought, "Hmm...an all inclusive". Thereafter when we broke the news to Mira that we were going away for awhile, we did so by telling her that she was going to stay at the All Inclusive. It didn't make her feel any happier than when we told her she was going to the kennel, but it made it easier for us.
