DCA: Washington Reagan National Airport Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

FlyingPig85: Alas, this cache has fallen victim to more Mason construction. I'll add a new cache if I can when construction is done. For now, it's off to the hanger for this cache.

Geocache Description:

DCA: Washington Reagan National Airport

FlyingPig85 loves to travel!  She is naming her caches after airports around the world she’s flown into or out of and not the actual location of the caches.

DCA has been in existence since June 1941 and was named after the late President Ronald Reagan in 1998.  Designed by a company led by John McShain, it lies 4 ½ miles south of downtown Washington DC  and in 2012 served 19.6 million passengers.

There are three terminals (A, B, & C) which house 44 gates.  The original Terminal, now known as Terminal A, is on the National Register of Historic Places.

On the three runways, 14 airlines fly their planes non-stop to with Atlanta, Georgia being the main destination of passengers.

You will need to bring a pen, as the cache is small and does not have one.

Congrats to MomphandhisGirl on his first FTF when he found this one!

There is paid parking nearby.

Old cache is now behind the fence. FlyingPig85 hid a new one in the same location that is accessible
