A quick park and cache located at a parking area along the Ballygowan Road, Comber beside The Old Pond.

 

An echo back to yesteryear when Comber had several working Mills, this pond, known locally as 'The Old Pond' served a nearby Corn Mill which still stands, though it has now been converted into a private house.

Photo below shows Comber in 1834, note the different types of Mills, Flour, Bleach, Quarry etc.



The pond is now home to some ducks and swans.

The Cache is a lightly camo'd micro. It contains only a log so please be sure to bring your own pen/pencil.

There is ample parking available at GZ.
