In 4WD on Jeddah-Rabigh Highway, turn right at Meeqat Al Jihfa road, then look for an opening in wire-fencing on left of road, 1km from junction. Go through opening in fence, make U-turn and follow long winding sandy road; it will lead you to within 1km of Fort (now visible). Drive off-road straight towards Fort.
UPDATE Aug. 2014: Fort is now surrounded by wire-fence of Min. of Tourism and Antiquities; cache outside the Gate. The trip is worth the view.
