Geocache Description:


How amazing to see this unusual display of Urban Art, which goes the length of the road. Notice the carved designs on some of the bay villas are the same design as those on the road. We hope you enjoy this area as much as we did.  It's worth walking the length of the road to read the welcome at one end.

The entrance to a lost cinema is also along this road. The official name of this cinema was the St George's Hall Electric Palace and in 1929 it was renamed the Granada. When it first opened in 1912, the entrance was situated in Victoria Road (now Victoria Parade). There was no permanent sign outside, just a board that was put out when the cinema was open. It has now been converted into a pub called St George's Hall, its old cinema name.
