As I wander around in cemeteries, I have occupy the grey muscle between my ears solving addition and subtraction questions, and then compare to my own relative dates and answers. Such as from the years of birth and death, he was only 21; or she was born after me and has been resting here for 11 years; or his wife died when he was just 25. Here at this grave, the numbers and the other information provided just don’t add up. Something is wrong. The dates on his military marker show he was just 4 years old, yet it notes he was a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. This just doesn’t add up.
Further investigating revealed the error, and it turns out the error is mine. My math was correct, the error I made being that the assumption made that the dates on his military marker were the dates of birth and death. Instead they are for the date of his enlistment and discharge. The large marker at the head of the grave is for Sergeant Lewis Marvin Hudson as well, and this marker does provide the dates of birth and death.
To locate the final, gather information from the two markers for Sergeant Lewis Marvin Hudson.
