Geocache Description:

Denne cache ligger ved Kridehøj, der er en del af et større bakket område.
English:
This cache is located at Kridehøj, which is part of a larger hilly area.

Kridehøj var tidligere områdets højeste punkt på 80 meters højde. Men nu er bakken væk, fordi man har gravet en del mergel og kridt her – deraf navnet.
Området hører til et af de højeste punkter på Mors, det højeste punkt er kun ca. 7 meter lavere end Salgerhøj (GC2BDB9), som er det officielle højeste punkt på øen. 
Tæt på cachens placering findes der et bord og en bænk til en lille rast, hvorfra man har noget der ligner en 180 graders udsigt mod sydøst til Nykøbing, Dråby Vig og Fur. Går man op på marken bag buskene, kan man også få sig en 180 graders udsigt i den modsatte retning, mod Thy ud over Thisted Bredning. Herfra kan man også se Rovvig og Dragstrup Vig.
Er man frisk på en gåtur i dette bakkede område, kan et stop ved cachen være udgangspunkt for en ca. 3 km rundtur. Kort, rutebeskrivelse mv kan man på denne side (visit link)

At at heigth of 80 meters, Kridehøj was previously the highest point in this area. But the hill has been dug away, by mining of marl and chalk - Chalk has given the hill its name - Kridehøj - which means Chalk hill.
The area is one of the highest points on Mors, the highest point is only about. 7 m lower than Salgerhøj (GC2BDB9), which is the official highest point on the island. 
Close to the cache location, there is a table and a bench for a little rest, where you have something like a 180 degree view to the southeast towards Nykobing, Draaby Vig and Fur. From the field behind the bushes, you can also get a 180 degree view in the opposite direction towards Thy beyond Thisted Bredning. From here you can also see Rovvig and Dragstrup Vig.
If you are ready for a small hike in this hilly area, a stop at the cache be the starting point for an app. 3 km round trip. Maps, directions, etc. can on this page (visit link)
