A simple park and grab located very near one of the remaining 5 covered bridges in Greene County. This bridge was just recently completed and re-opened for vehicle traffic.
The original Charlton Road covered bridge was built in 1883 by Henry E Hebble usinf Howe Trusses and was 128 feet in length. The orginal covered bridge was closed in 2011 due to damage caused from flooding. It was demolished earlier this year so that the new one could be built.
The 2013 edition:
There is parking either at the front of the bridge or roadside close to the cache.
This is a quiet country road but please be safe and watch out for vehicles.
