Im-mobile home. Traditional Cache

While out searching for old wooden pallets we came across this rather desolate part of Qatar inhabited by a number of settlements. These settlements appeared to house some labourers and various odds and end. We decided that this was the ideal location to hide our first cache.

The area has a number of nomadic type settlements, some more permanent in nature which are used to house labour as well as storing various odds and ends. Camping in the desert is a passtime practiced be many Qataris during the Winter months. Tents are still used extensively, however mobile homes / trailers are becoming more popular. The location of this cache is on one of these mobile type homes which clearly has not seen any action for many years, and looked pretty well consigned to a future as an im-mobile home.

The terrain around this area is quite rough and a sedan vehicle with good ground clearance will be able to access the cache providing the well worn tracks are followed. use the necessary care and caution when going into the desert.
