Der Legende nach hat früher ganz in der Nähe von Laérma ein Palast gestanden. Die Königstochter war unheilbar erkrankt und begab sich zu einem Eremiten, der an der Stelle des heutigen Klosters "Moní Thári" lebte. Die Königstochter wurde von diesem Eremiten geheilt und ihre Eltern haben daraufhin das Kloster gestiftet. Die letzte Ruhestätte der Königsfamilie befindet sich in einem Felsengrab nahe Laérma.

Legend has it that in earlier times a palace has stood completely close to Laérma. The king's daughter had fallen ill incurably and had searched a hermit who lived there of the today's cloister "Moní Thári". The king's daughter was cured of this hermit and as a result her parents have donated the cloister. The last resting-place of the royal family is close to Laérma in a rock tomb.
