"The nichts are fair drawin' in" once again, so what better time of year to create another night cache. All that darkness can be put to good use. This night/multi/puzzle cache talks you on a semi-urban walk around Livingston Village, the oldest part of the town. The paths could be muddy in places, so sensible footwear is recommended. (You might recognise part of the walk from a previous cache, but the end is completely different)
To start with, follow 75. Shine your torch around until you see some glowing reflectors. A head-torch works really well, but if you have a handheld torch, try holding it close to your head or in front of your nose to get a strong reflection from the markers. The trail is along a variety of paths, some wide and smooth and others narrow and muddy. The reflectors are fairly close where there is street lighting, but further apart in the darker sections of the trail.
WHITE or YELLOW means GO, RED means NO.
The total distance is approximately 1km, and you should manage the whole journey in under an hour. Please use common sense when attempting this cache. Go with someone else or tell someone where you will be. Stick to the paths, until it is obvious you need to go off them. Don't fall in the river!
The trail will not take you straight to the cache in case a muggle with a torch finds it accidentally. Instead, the trail will lead you to six digits ABC, DEF. (ABC are to the left and slightly higher than DEF). Make a note of them and go to:
N55 53.ABC W003 32.DEF
To check you have the correct figures, A+B+C+D+E+F=23
There you will find a small cache, with guardian, which will give you the coordinates of the final.
