Geocache Description:

Although this trail is private property, the nearby owners have granted permission for Brant County 4-H to place a series of SIX geocaches along this part of the old Cleaver Road. They were pleased to grant access to the geocaching world to visit this area and find the 4-H geocaches.

There is a small FTF prize.

This “4-H Trail” was created by the Brant County 4-H Club, and as part of the requirement to complete the club each team had to successfully create and place a geocache. Our 4-H teams are also racing travel bugs!

This end of Cleaver Road has been closed since the construction of Hwy. 403 in 1975. It has been used only as a farmer’s access route to the back fields, and as a hiking trail for the property owners.

This is not a well-groomed trail, and you may want to wear rubber boots and long pants depending on the season.

The first cache in this series is placed at the corner of Bethel Rd. and Cleaver Rd. and there is no reason to go onto private property to retrieve it. The other FIVE caches are located along the trail beyond the gate which has a sign reading PRIVATE PROPERTY.

Please be respectful and refrain from making a lot of noise when beginning and ending your hike from the gate area, because property owners live in the two nearby houses.

PLEASE REMEMBER . . .
• No motorized vehicles permitted past the gate
• No night caching permitted
• No need to cross fence lines on either side of this trail

We are celebrating 100 years with 4-H Canada!
