Is May Geocaching? This is another cache to add to the list of Totoro and Ghibli themed hides. If you find this nano cache, you might also discover cream puffs in the shape of Totoro -- the titular character from an animated film My Neighbor Totoro (1988). Written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, the film is a coming-of-age story about the magic and innocence of childhood imagination and features the lovable, furry, flying creature.

The film is also about geocaching! No, not really. But in the story there is plenty of getting lost while surveying, searching, and trying to get somewhere -- exploring the house and the forest, looking for Totoro at his tree abode, trying to visit the ailing mother at the hospital. And geocaching, too, is all about searching and exploring! If only May and Satsuki had a GPS receiver. When May reaches down between the roots of a huge camphor tree and she stumbles into Totoro's secret lair, it is as if she were geocaching.

Well, for this cache, you can use your modern devices. This should be an easy cache and suitable for kids (no swag, though). A girl and a boy close in age to May and Satsuki picked the location. Please bring your own pen.

After finding the cache, you can visit the store and buy a Ghibli-approved cream puff in the shape of our favorite "Guardian of the Forest." The store is open everyday except Tuesdays, from 10:30AM to 7:00PM. The closest train station is Setagayadaita station on the Odakyu Line (a 5 minutes walk), but you can get there from Shimokidazawa Station with a 5 minute walk.

This cache is the second version of the original cache, which was moved to this location when the bakery also moved here.

トトロ・ジブリをテーマにしたキャッシュです。このナノキャッシュを見つけたら、シュークリームのトトロに出会えるかもしれません。「トトロ」とは、スタジオジブリ製作のアニメ映画『となりのトトロ』（1988）に登場する可愛いい、フワフワしていて、空を飛ぶ不思議な生き物です。宮崎駿が脚本・監督を手がけたこの映画は、子供時代の幻想と無邪気さを描いています。

そしてこの映画はジオキャッシングについてです。と、言いたいのですが、それは全くの嘘です。しかし、主人公の女の子２人は森や家の探検をしたりする場面がいくつかありますね。メイちゃんがトトロに出会う時にクスノキの根本の間に手を延ばすシーンはジオキャッシングそのものではないでしょうか。映画のクライマックスと言えるシーンでは、メイちゃんがお母さんの病院を訪ねたいのに迷子になってしまい、さつきちゃんが探すけれど見つからないので、トトロに頼みます。でもトトロはGPSrを使って探す？ってことはないでしょうね。

このキャッシュの場所はナノキャッシュが大好きな女の子と男の子が決めました。「お宝」は入っていませんが、場所が場所なので、トトロ好きなジオキッズでしたら必ず喜ぶでしょう。ペンは持参でお願いします。

キャッシュを見つけたあとは、スタジオジブリ公認のトトロシュークリームを召し上がるのはどうでしょう。お店の営業時間は午前10:30〜午後7:00で、火曜日は定休日です。最寄駅の世田谷代田駅（小田急線）から徒歩5分、下北沢駅から10分ほどです。

このキャッシュは二代目で、元のキャッシュはお店が移転したときに、引っ越しました。遊びに来て下さい！
