Our local Girl Scout Troop studied Geocaching for the past 5 weeks - starting with how read and navigate with maps, then how geocaching works, finding a few easy caches in our area, and finally creating our own cache. The girls (and their familes) LOVED the experience, and many are hooked!
Our cache includes some items the girls scout troop made during our meetings, along with a few other trinkets. We placed the cache in a location that represents a significant historical period for our island. From 1927 when the first tarmac was laid down, through the China Clipper days, to the Top Gun era, this area was an important landmark for our city. Happy caching!
