Geocache Description:

The final leg of the Gowerton bypass (B4295) was completed in the last decade. Before that this road was a footpath with undergrowth and banks either side. It used to be part of a railway track to Penclawdd.

The footpath was  a useful shortcut for RaynRuth to and from the pub. It was along here, on the way home from the pub a number of years ago, that Ray proposed to Ruth – (or, according to him, Ruth proposed to Ray. Memories of events that evening are rather hazy).

Dr. Samuel Johnson can tell you the meaning of the cache title, which is applicable to both of us.

You don’t have to park on this road, there are free car parks at both ends (see Waypoints) and it is a short walk from either one. Please take care near the road and supervise any children in your group. The path on one side of the road is segregated for walkers and cyclists; keep to the correct side; the other side of the road has no footpath. Please take care retrieving the cache since the area can get muddy and slippery after rain.

The cache is in a camo bag. It contains log and pencil, swaps and an FTF keyring.
