Geocache Description:

This is my first cache!

On February 5, 1845, a group of St. Louis County residents, led by Wesley Watson, filed a petition for a road "From Cooper's Farm on the Old Manchester Roads, thence to the River Des Peres near the mouth of the Lick Branch, from thence the most practical route to a ferry landing opposite the town of Fenton.” Watson's Road would someday become part of Route 66.

Missouri voters in 1928 approved a bond issue. This one called for the construction of traffic relief roads in Kansas City and St. Louis. The measure cleared the way for construction of the New Watson Road, a new alignment of Route 66 between St. Louis and Gray Summit.

This cache is to celebrate the 'Old Route 66".  You can park on the nearby streets surrounding the area but please obey all signs.  Parking from Watson Road will almost be impossible.  You are looking for a micro bison tube on a fishing line.  There is a business nearby so stealth is key.  This can be done at anytime, but please be aware there are houses nearby.  Log only so BYOP.

Congrats to Strider, Crowsfeat30 and Blue on the FTF
