Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Kirk Park.  It is a camouflaged plastic container. New container as of 8/30/21.

This cache was placed to commemorate my daughter's and my successful completion of Switzerland's Alpine Pass Route (link) in July 2009.  The APR starts in Sargans in the East near the Lichtenstein border.  Over the course of about 220 miles, the route crosses 16 alpine passes with a total elevation change of approximately 65,000 feet (2.2 'Everests').  We left Sargans on July 3 and ended our trek in Montreux on the shore of Lake Geneva on July 25 (my 50th birthday) after 19 days of hiking and four rest days.
