On November 7th at 4:08 GMT (11:08pm EST November 6th) Astronaut Rick Mastracchio will launch into space from Kazakhstan. With him will be a Travel Bug - International Space Station Travel Bug II by the 5th Grade Class of Chase Elementary School-Waterbury, CT. He will be taking the TB to the cache on the International Space Station - International Space Station.
In celebration of the Geocaching feat, Groundspeak has encourage events be held to commemorate the fun of geocaching going into space again. For all that attend an event on November 6th or 7th a special souvenir will be awarded for taking part in the Geocaching In Space celebration. Make plans to join us and get this special souvenir that is sure to be out of this world!!
