I can remember bringing all the kids I used to babysit for and my brothers (and friends) here quite often when we were younger - as it was out of the Rylands (where we lived) it was a bit of an adventure.
I can remember when the park was refurnished – we thought it was brilliant.
I can recall jumping on and off the roundabout and seeing who could push it the fastest– now just going round once would be enough to make me ill!!!
Even then I used to think the big slide was dangerous and hated the younger kids going on it!!!!
When I had my own children we often visited the park when we were visiting parents nearby.
The park has an ornamental garden with seating and also has the boroughs only bandstand. The park is used throughout the year for different community events.
The cache is not on the park grounds as there are two other caches very close by but close enough for you to have a wander through afterwards.
