The cache is best approached from the west, with a possible parking place at NS 58105 36750. One has to cross at least one field, there is a small burn to cross that can be jumped, and there is at least two fences to get over, depending which way one comes in. The cache can be accessed by a steep track going down to the lower area. In the summer time there are orchids in the area, and buzzards are not uncommon. Before the war the Glen was a popular place for a walk, but is not used much now.
