ManorMuppets thought it was about time we organised an event and meet the other local teams and hopefully cachers from outside the area as well. At 2pm (allow plenty of time for car parking!) a whistle will blow, sleigh bells will ring and reindeer hooves will be heard on the rooftops (well perhaps not the last one, but you may spot some nearby) head for ground zero in Castle Park, wearing a Santa / Christmas hat where we will have a quick Christmas quiz, say hi to other teams and let you know about new caches for those First to Find fanatics. A number of local teams have already agreed to release caches during the afternoon or help out (thanks Pink Icing, Familytus, ReallySquare, RichieGrooveJet, Skippy and Pingu, Pinga and Roo, Sir PhilPamand Rob, ManorMuppets - any others welcome) so you should have a range of family friendly and more tricky ones. There will be plenty going on around the village and refreshments are easily available in the park. Castle Park itself is a superb park with two play areas, wooded areas and open spaces. There is also an arts centre and two cafes. Remember to sign the logbook before you leave which will be a large Christmas Card where you can leave your heartfelt Christmas messages for other Geocaching teams or just sign your name. Please note though that Santa arrives with torchlit parade and light switch on in Frodsham at 6.30pm so local roads will be closed from approx 6 - 7.15pm. So you will need to escape before this time or stay and be merry. Frodsham is a lovely village to wander around with a range of pubs, teashops, boutique gift shops etc so will keep non geocaching family members happy. There are heaps of established caches in the area. Many thanks to Frodsham Forward and Castle Park for permission for the event. It will be lovely to meet everyone so do come along and join in. Ho Ho Ho! Santa Claus is Comin' to town!
P.S Team Marzipan have organised a pub food meet for early evening at the Dunham Arms. GC4QWNG.
