These are the voyages of a Geocaching Travel Bug... it's mission: To travel to the International Space Station Geocache GC1BE91 with Astronaut Rick Mastracchio, then return to Chase Elementary School in Waterbury, Connecticut. To boldly go where only one other Travel Bug has gone before!!!
Who: You, us, any and all Geocachers in this quadrant.
What: A short geocaching event celebrating a Geocaching launch into space.
Where: YoYo Berri, 36 E Stumer Rd, near the posted coordinates.
When: 7 pm Wednesday November 6th, 2014 2013.
Why: From the Geocaching newsletter: It’s the Travel Bug® that’s taking the global Geocaching community on a rocket ride to space. Whether you’re in Mexico or France, Australia or Korea you’re primed to join the geocaching community in celebrating the spirit of exploration. There are more than 800 Geocaching in Space events scheduled around the world. Those who attend Event Caches on either November 6 or November 7 earn the Geocaching in Space souvenir.
Come join us on this odyssey to celebrate taking Geocaching to a new level... space! Please log your will attend so we know how many will beam down to the location, and so we can let the staff know what to expect. As always, you will be responsible for your own (out of this world) refreshments.
NEW: We will have a limited number of Geocaching in Space patches to be given away at the event, first come first served, one to each caching family / team.
