This walk is approximately 3 miles from the suggested car park. Alternatively you can drive to within 1600 ft of the cache, but that way you will not experience the magic of the Nógrád hills, the views and the solitude. The country of Nógrád had dozens of hamlets in the past, but most of them have got depopulated in the last 50 years. Very few survived and even those that did were reduced to being summer homes or light industrial use. However, in the last 5 to 10 years they are coming back to life. En route to the cache you can see several, including Jákotpuszta, where there is an eco farm with traditional breeds of farm animals and Ordaspuszta which now sports a few newly renovated or rebuilt houses. The cache is 1600 ft up the hill from Ordaspuszta in a hollow of a vertical branch of a tree near the ancient cemetery in the woods.
