Across the street from this cache location is the site of the former Almaden Feed & Fuel. If you find this cache soon, you’ll see the demolition of the old building in progress. Wait too long, and all you’ll see is a new housing development.
The Almaden Feed & Fuel building was the original stagecoach stop in the 1890s for coaches running from San Jose to New Almaden. It later served as a gas station, a store, and most recently as a restaurant and bar. The building has been closed the last few years awaiting the wrecking ball which finally arrived this week.
There is no parking directly at the cache location. You'll have to park further up Almaden Road. Container is a large pill bottle with room for a few items. Please bring your own pen.
