It is also a chance to explore Leaghur State Park, whose 2,022 ha protect some of Victoria's most significant Black Box wetland and woodland communities. There are numerous archaeological sites including scarred trees and oven mounds. You will notice that the park entrance opens into a plantation of non-endemic species, an experiment dating to the park's earlier life as a State Forest.
The Pontipines are characters from In the Night Garden, a family of peg-doll people who live in a semi-detached house at the foot of a tree. The family dress similarly in red, though the parents have big hats and Mrs Pontipine a pair of binoculars. They all sleep side-by-side in the one room and enter the house by flying through the front door or down the chimney as they don't have feet. The Pontipines chatter constantly. Mr Pontipine's moustache is inclined to fly off and land on his wife.
There is a clue to the cache location in this description. It's a tiny cache, but so are the Pontipines! A kangaroo pin (boing!) for FTF. Mi-mi-mi! Have fun!
