The current "GeoKids" represent the future of Geocaching - let's get them interested in this great adventure, and off to a good start !

Summary:  The Dewey Decimal System was developed by Melvin Dewey in 1876 as Library Classification System, while he was working at Amherst College. The Dewey Decimal System has had 23 revisions, the latest in 2011. The Dewey Decimal System is used in 200,000 libraries in at 135 countries. The first library in Guilford, in the 1890's, was located in a private home on Whitfield Street. The current library, on the Guilford Green, was built in 1933. A major renovation took place in 1977, building around the existing library, which then became the Historic Room, documenting the history of Guilford. The new Guilford Library combines traditional library ambiance and modern technology. The cache a a small magnetic container, hidden with permission of the Director of Library Services. Please BYOP. Parking available. As always please be respectful of the area we have been granted permission to use for Geocaching. Thank you and have fun. CONGRATS TO Michele111879 on FTF !
