Geocache Description:

Halloween is a holiday celebrated in a number of countries on the night of October 31.  The word Halloween is a shortening of All Hallows' Evening also known as Hallowe'en or All Hallows' Eve.

Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses" and carving jack-o-lanterns. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century including Ireland, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico.

In honor of this holiday, I have placed a few new caches. All of these caches are props that would normally be found around Halloween.

This cache is located within Spann Hammond park, which is a semi-forgotten park in the area. The trails have been neglected and are pretty overgrown. The terrain rating will not be as high in the winter months. In the summer months, you will want to wear plenty of insect repellant.

Be sure to visit the other caches in the park, including Aiken County's oldest cache, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

As with all of my caches, if you enjoy it, please feel free to give it a favorite point.
