Geocache Description:

Site of the beginning (or end  if you begin from the North) of the National Israeli Trail "Shvil Yisrael".

The Israel National Trail can be recognized by the three color orange, blue and white trail marking.

The trail is 940 km long beginning in the North near the Lebanese border and finishing in the South here. Many people take the journey of about one and a half months - hiking and sleeping along the trial. Others do day trips or overnight trips. Some hike the whole trail over monthly weekend trips.

Try to imagine those hikers who begin their 1 and 1/2 month trip here and must take with them at least 8 liters of water each for this desert area part of the trail plus basic supplies of food , tent and other necessities.

Cache is hidden in an orange tic-tak container Bring a pencil/pen to log in. When this cache was hidden there was no new sign up showing the start of the Cross Country Trail. Use the Parking way point to find the start of the green and cross country trail.

This cache is one of the two new caches that replace GC187p7 Shivil Yisrael Eilat/Taba  since the end /beginning  of the Cross Country Trail was moved up from Taba do to the security fence that was built along the Egyptian border.
