My first cache placed with dad's help. This cache is on the upper reaches of the Hayes Creek Dam, part of Auckland's water supply. Most of the Hunua water is treated over the hill at "Water, Water, Water" (dad's cache). This is just one of the caches related to the water supply of Auckland's 1,000,000 people that drink heaps everyday. Check out others in the Hunua's and also the Waitakeres ranges.  Again this cache is NOT suitable for younger ones. It is on a sharp bend and there is very little walkway. parking is available at the waypoint, on the side of the road.  Log book only. BYO pen. Be VERY careful of footing!! Slip and you are in!!
