The idea of this very small series is to place a cache as close to the most northerly, southerly, easterly and westerly points of Monmouthshire as possible (within the constraints of public land, access and place-to-hide-the-container etc.), hence the name Monmouthshire Compass (although constraints may mean they are just outside the border), with a bonus cache somewhere close to where the north/south line and east/west line transect (not bang on, that would be too easy).
And it's as simple as that! (Well, apart from the fact that you need to visit north, south, east and west, in any order, to get the numbers for the co-ords for the bonus, but, hey, it shouldn't be too hard!)
The other caches in the series are:
Monmouthshire Compass North
Monmouthshire Compass East
Monmouthshire Compass West
Monmouthshire Compass Bonus
This cache is a bison-type micro and is the smallest in the series with the clue to the bonus written on the back of the log. You can do this cache as an individual by parking at the parking waypoint and from there it is about 3/4 of a mile walk with splendid views across the Severn Estuary to Denny Island and Portishead beyond, as well as to the new Severn Bridge.
Enjoy!!!
