The area you will be searching is somewhat out of place being so close to other buildings. You do not usually see the "real" thing unless there is water nearby. Calvert County is surrounded by water, and you can see the real deal of one of these if you visit either Cove Point or the Calvert Marine Museum. Enjoy!
