As the attached image shows, this town has a bit of football history and pride.  However, news has reached neighboring schools this season that a team leader had a conversation with God, who told him to stop playing football.  So he quit mid-season.  Perhaps it was just such divine coaching that led to 2 proudly proclaimed state titles.  Since nobody knows the exact conversation, we don't know why he was directed to quit now and not at the end of the current season.  Good thing the coaches can rely on divine coaching because it can be pretty well argued that they didn't like hearing about a team leader quitting before the season was over.
